Hello. Can someone please give me info on the Picasso Triggerfish? How large do they grow to be? Do they grow fast? What do they like to eat? Thanks in advance!
well they grow about 9 inches maybe 11 inches they grow fast just because of their aggressive feeding habits, triggers will eat anything i feed mine silversides, brine shrimp, krill, plankton, bloodworms anything they can fit in their mouth including your finger.
Great fish- I have had one for just about a year soon. Quite a personality on him, likes to chew on the live rock and pick up sand and spit it out through his gills- quite concerning to me the first time I saw it! They like to arrange their home to their liking, will dig caves, move sand around, etc. Mine is not that aggressive yet, leaves the few snails I have to control algea alone, but I wouldn't dare but a shrimp in- he is not that passive. I feed mine Formula One, brine shrimp and pellets, and he enjoys all, but especially loves my fingers when I am in cleaning the tank, so I have to watch the little brat constantly!! Good luck!
I says that you have a 55 gal tank the trigger will be alright in that size tank for a while, they do grow pretty fast, you will have to upgrade in the future. Mine will eat anything I put into the tank. Very active swimmer. Great fish. Good Luck
Great fish to have. Does not have a bad attitude compared to some triggers and usually gets along with their tankmates as long as you pick them out with care. They grew incredibly fast, I had one reach seven inches in a little under two years!
i agree, great fish! they are not lazy, colorful, entertaining, have great lil personalitie, not hard to feed, hardy, and dont have to have a big big tank! i just love em!
