Getting ready to get a RO system. I am going to hook it up to the kitchen sink to use as drinking water as well. The question is if I hook it up to my cold water line, it'll take a while for the water temp to rise, I don't want to put that cold of water directly into the tank. Any recommendations?

bout all you can do is yuse a gheater to warm it up or make more than enough so you can let it sit and rise to room temp on its own.

You can pump it into a holding tank which would be at room temp before it goes to the display tank. Small amounts of RO will not affect the temp of most tanks unless it is a very small tank.

Since I only top-off a gallon, maybe two at the most, I just fill a gallon jug with RO/DI (Which is quite cold as the system is in the garage), then place it in the sink with hot water, about enough to go around halfway up the jug. When it gets warm enough (less than 10 minutes, usually around 5 or so) I'll pull the jug out, wipe it down to remove all sinkwater from the outside, then pour it into the tank.
Larger amounts like waterchanges, pump the RO/DI into a large Tuperware-ish bucket, then mix salt, put in a heater and PH. Then by the next day it's ready, although sometimes I'll mix it for two days (Better than just one day).
If filling tank for the first time, put it all in the tank and use the tank's heaters to get the temp up.
