sponges. are they on the underside of the rock, shady parts?

they are gone this morning, i dont know whats up.....i have a radiant wrasse dont know if he spins a web . and no sponges that i know of

thats what it was. wrasses build a cocoon at night to mask their scent in the water. youll see it again

I have worms that cast a "net" web. See if it comes to an end at a worm. or wormhole.

seems like its the wrasse all right!
happens every night just before lights out, bout 3 hours before......guess thats when he thinks it is night coming!
