question of extension of mantle

is this normal? i have a crocea for awhile and its mantle hangs over its shell alot more then this guy...ne reason y?

How much flow is going on there? The mantle should not be ruffled too much.

You do know this is a totally different species of clam right? It's a derasa and looks just fine.

yes i knew it is a totally different species, ive only have crocea so i thought all clams mantles extend further then that u kno
