Question on f/w dips for zoas

Ok, so I did a f/w dip on one of my zoa frags today because a lot of the zoas hadn't been opening....thought maybe something is irritating it.Nothing ever came off in the dip...just wondering how long after a f/w dip should they open??If they don't open back up have they died??? Still kinda new to the zoa community...any help appreciated. My other zoa frag of peanut butter cups are doing very well and reproducing.

i used to do the same thing dip them in fw and they will not open for a while they will be fine but now i use lugols solution to dip my zoas

Yeah, they're slowly starting to open. What do I do if the ones that weren't open before don't open after this???

They may be closed for days, do not toss them. Get Flatworm Exit and redip them in that and then give them good flow for a few minutes and back to the bottom of the tank.
