question on salinity

O.k. Here it goes: there are set parameters when doing a salt water tank on salinity. How does the actual ocean stay constant or is it actually changing? has anyone ever taken a reading on the actual ocean to see what it was?? we are in an ever changing enviroment, how does the salt water stay constant?

Actually, salinity in the ocean can vary....depending on which ocean or sea you are talking about.

I believe that where most of these fish come from the water is very stable but like at the edges of rivers up to 2 miles out i imagine it is very unstable
