Question on useing Carbon filter pad on a whisper 4 with fish in the tank.

hello all i have a question onweather to try to give my system a lil clean up with carbon filter pad . Before was running the filter with packaging foam piece. I read that some do use carbon and was not sure if it would be detrimental to the fish in the tank now.

If your running that deep with crushed coral then Heck yeah run carbon. with or without the crushed coral I would run carbon, just so happens with 3 inches of cc I would definatly run carbon. I use high grade carbon 24/7 and it has never hurt my fish.
