Hello again,
I got some quick and good responses yesterday to my problems so I figured I'd come back again. As per the reccommendations on the boards yesterday I did a 4-5% water change last night to help correct my high ammonia levels (>1.0) during my cycle. I currently have the following parameters in my DT:
SG: 1.023
ammonia: .25
nitrite: 2
nitrate: 20
ph: 7.8-8
calcium: 350
alk: 9.8
Just curious if I should keep doing water changes to raise my ph up?... I don't want to use buffers just yet as I don't have any in my possession and I have read a great deal about how much of a balancing act it is. My stock water that I constantly age is solid and everything is RO/DI:
Sg: 1.025-1.026
ammonia: 0
nitrite: 0
nitrate: 0
ph: 8.2-8.4
calcium: 400
alk: 9.8
If the Ph is not endangering anything I can easily wait until the cycle wraps up and just do a slower change over time.
thanks in advance
