Does any one know if sand filtered well
water would be good for saltwater? I know the consensus is RO, but this it 100% natural, no chlorine, no additives of any kind, and comes from a sand well. I have unlimited access to this water. The town is 'famous' for its great water and ppl come from miles around to get it for their drinking water. Does any one know? I havent set up yet and to be honest... i didnt budget for water because i assumed this would be good.

waters that "taste" good are usually due to mineral content. I would have to assume its not good untill you get a real watertest done. TDS can only tell you there is stuff in it, not what. a TDS reading of zero wouyld be great and make the water usable, but anything higher and you have to wonder what your adding to your tank if you use it.
