Question

I know this is an equipment question, but nobody would answer it on that forum. I just got a new powerhead and I have the option of oxygenating the water or not. Should I?

If you have a skimmer, it likely does a fine job of aeration. Depending on the tank, (IMHO) bubbles just add more clutter. Water movement is more important for a reef or LR setup.
It does depend on what type of environment you're trying to emulate, but we don't have that information. :)

Well I think you answered my question, but just in case, this is the setup I have. I have a 75g FOWLR...its gonna be aggressive. I have a fluval 404 and Red Sea Prizm proteing skimmer. I set the powerhead up without the oxygenization currently. Let me know if I should change it. Thanks guys.

You should set it up high in the tank so that the exiting water breaks the surface of the tank. I would take the venturi off - the bubbles aren't doing anything much for your tank. Also you should have at least two powerheads in there - one on each side of the tank.

Crag with the live rock you want to get good water movement through the live rock so that food and minerils dont sit there if it dose it can cause an amonia spike that can make your fish sick or evin kill them.
