hi i have a 55 gallon reef tank...and i was wondering i have a fluval 105 and a aquaclear 70...do i NEED a sump n all that good stuff underneath my tank,,..and alllll that high tech stuff everyone has...i have the ligts n skimmer n stuff but is allll the other nessecery??????

A sump is the best filtration available. It also gives you a place to put your skimmer in so its not hanging on the back of your tank.

oooo so a sump is just a different kind of filtering system i thought it was something you NEED to have...ok great that answers everything..ill prolly upgrade when i have the money but for now it stays pretty clean...

my 55 gal ran for over a yr with just a canister filter, aquaremora skimmer, and a hob fuge. never had any problems with it.
