standard is subjective but with MH you want to have one bulb per 2 foot of length,
in that tank i would do atleast 3x250MH with 2x110 VHO.
if you can spring the extra few bucks go with the 400's
i run 3 x400 radiums on our 140 keep anything i want and everything grows and looks great. gl to ya

yeah i was thinking 3 -250w's instead of 2-400w's ???
what about the flourescents?? i figured do it all now and not have to change again if i want to keep other corals... Im just borrowing hte lights i have now and would like to give them back without being asked...
Thanks again

yes you dont want only 2 MH lights on a 6foot tank. the lighting will be uneven. if you run radiums like i do IMO you dont even need VHO lighting

Yep, I'll second that. 3 250's would be nice. If your tank was deeper than 25 in. I would recomend 400's.
