Hey everyone i have a blue throat and pink tail trigger, blue throat (female) is 6 inches and the pink tail is 3 inches. i had the the pink tail for 6months and the blue throat for 3 weeks. maybe like once a day they will fight, really, there in a 135gallon tank. My questions for you guys with triggers, do they have this little fist of cuffs, fight every once in a while. like i said i have seen tangs fight worse than this, everyone is good no bumps or scrapes, just every once in a while they have a little tiff. just looking for answers or opinions thanks- mike

Depends what you mean by fight. My fish "fight" once in a while too. Meaning a quick chase, get out of my way sort of thing. But there's no biting, scratching or pursuit and there are no grudges and no fish is being terrorized.

tnats what they do a quick chase, like hey get out of my way, no biting, no terrorizing, just a quick little chase then back to there business. the pink tail get pretty worked up changing color, then leaves the blue alone.

I think that's pretty normal in an agressive tank. As long as a particular fish isn't being harassed, I'd leave them alone.

i dont understand them, this morning swimming side by side not bothering eachother, then last night the pink tail got a little moody and chase the blue throat for a quick sec or two! too funny

I wouldn't worry too much, my Niger and Sargassum have the occasional nasty spat where they literally go round and round. They generally hang out together though, they have been like that for 2 years now.

lol must be, the funny thing the pinktail is half her size, it reminds me of little black convicts chasing my huge oscars when they were breeding
