we have a 210 in the office and it is a fowlr it has about almost 300 lb's of LR full of purple coraline algae. here are the fish in it.
1-Huma Huma (small)
2-Golden heart Triggerfish (medium)
3-Niger triggerfish (red tooth) medium
4-Black Foxface (small)
5-Crosshatch Triggerfish medium
6-Large LMB
7-powder blue tang small
8-yellow tang medium
9-copperband buterfly small
these fish are nice healthy and colorful but contrary to my home aquarium (125 reef ) the only colors in this tank are the fish and the rock..my question is what can I add to this tank that these fish wont eat or destrory that is live like can we put in any colorful corals ? or any sponges ? or anything with vibrant nice colors that these fish wont eat up. I was thinking blue green and purple acros..we run MH and have a very strong flow, and wet dry and 55 gallon sump with a skimmer for a 300 gallon tank.
they are well fed.
thanks
we were also thinking of getting a blue lined triggerfish or a hawaiin black triggerfish we are more towards the blue line will both work and will a small blue line fit in ?

I have a 210 fowlr also and i added some mushrooms and a few hardy corals and theyre doing fine . I have a couple of triggers(niger, blue throat), queen, emperor and flame angel, naso tangs . I've never had the other triggers you mention but but i immediately see a problem with butterfly. Butterflys will feast on most corals. thats why i had to remove a falculas b/f. it immediatelt started to pick on the corals. I even added a critter crew(crabs & snails) but i eventually removed the niger and put him in a separate tank .

I read in fenners book triggerfish will most likely eat songes so they are out...as far as corals what are my options if I remove the copperband butterfly ? what corals can i get that the above stock list will leave alone again they are well fed. I'm looking for vibrant colors like neon green or pink a nice red blue yellow...somrhting live to brighten up the tank, all you trigger keepers that have fowlr.. ? what else do you have in your tanks ?

IMO, removing the CB is a good idea anyhow. You have a lot of great fish; but CBs usually don't do well (long-term) with aggressive fish. They do better in a quiet setting and stress-out very easily. Also, getting enough food to them may be a problem; they're picky and like to take their time eating, triggers won't let them do that. Many of your more aggressive fish have a lot of growing to do and won't play so nice with the CB for long, IMO.

Let it go like that, once those fish mature they will be spectacular fish, especially that crosshatch, and the humma humma, you should think about getting a dogface, those are great fish too.
