Questions on a Passer Angelfish

Well a person after my own tastes. I have a Passer (alias King Angel) that I bought as a large Juvenile last October and it has been a fine fish after a short bout with Ick. Now here is what I can tell you about them;
It is a sponge eater so make sure you get some Frozen Cubes that have Sponge material to feed it (I feed mine every other day that food) Mine likes Frozen Formula 1 & 2 Cubes diced up , live and frozen brine shrimp, frozen mysis shrimp, small pieces of Krill and Squid, Live Blackworms, and Romaine Lettuce (can you see I spoil my fish something awful).
They should be the last fish in a tank as they become aggressive to any new arrivals.
They can grow to 15 inches and a min 60 gallon tank is suggested (mine is in a 65 gal)
My book says it is rarely available and expensive. Now around here I see them from time to time so rare maybe not, expensive- you bet your bippy they are.
Salinity; 1.021 to 1.023 temp; 78 to 81 degrees
Hope this helps I love mine and it was worth the money in my mind. By the way mine is with the following fish Sailfin Tang; Spotted Hawk; Oriental Wrasse; Cleaner Wrasse.

cool thanks i just picked him up today i got him for $60 dollars he is about 2 inches
it took me three months for my lfs to get it but it is worth it thank you for info any more info would be great

Well you did well I paid 130 for mine! They are neat fish good eaters but they tend to have to be the tank boss. You asked for more so here is a little more from my reference book;
The body is darkish brownish gold with a single vertical stripe. The Caudal fin is yellow. The dorsal and anal fins show gold patterns and edging. Young ones have extra blue stripes on the rear of the body.
Another article stated "Males are longer and wider then females, and they have white pelvic fins, whereas those of the female are yellow" Now you can figure your fishes --- if it is old enough.
There was a great article in the aquaruim Fish Magazine in October 1997 regarding Holocanthus Angels with a lot on the King. If interested you might call them and see if they can sell you a back issue, they are in North Hollywood, Ca. (you have to do the rest if interested).
