Questions on Starting a 10G

I had posted this in the New Hobbyist Forum, but thought I'd put it in here too and see what I could find out from some people that maybe don't read the New Hobbyist Forum very much...
So I have been thinking/researching alot on starting a small saltwater tank...
I have a ten gallon tank that has never been used, and I have a brand new 29 gallon tank. Due to lack of space, the 29 is the biggest I would be able to do in my apartment...but I would like to start with a 10 gallon, and eventually move to a 29.
I was told that I could use the comination of live sand and live rock + a 15-20 gallon hang on filter on my 10 gallon tank. The combination of those three things plus a small (2 gallons or so) water change every week would be sufficient filtering for a 10 gallon setup.
I was also told that if I put a hanging 15-20 gallon filter on a 10 gallon that the filter itself would provide enough circulation without using a powerhead....your thoughts?
^Is that true?

Other than the live rock, I would like to have a Bubble Anemone (which I know they grow pretty quick, but I plan to move it to the 29 gallon), an Emerald Crab (maybe 2?), a cleaner shrimp, and two False Percula Clowns
How is this sounding so far? I hate to get too far into planning only to realize I am making some drastic mistake....lol
Any help, advice, comments would be very helpful, thank you!

welcome to the nano world!

well to start you off the bubble anemone will have to go out since you need a strong light and a well establish aquarium. what lights are you gonna have? also who ever said to have the filter provide circulation by its self if a bad help idk what to call it. lol. you can have a koralia 1 or a koralia nano. the more flow you have the better it is!

everything else is fine. the emerald crab you should have 1. plus 5 nass and 3 ceriths and 5 astrea. hermits your choice.

Lol...ok...exnay on the filter providing enough circulation...I just googled the Koralia Nano, and I will probably go with that.
Not sure on the lights...what would be a decent light system/bulb if I am not going to have anemone's in this 10 gallon? (Keeping in mind I may look at some coral frags eventually)
Also, will the emerald crab be okay if I decide to do some coral?
One more question(for now....I apologize in advance if I am asking ridiculously stupid questions): If I can't do a bubble anemone, will a clown fish be okay without it?
Thanks a ton for the help:)

No problem its always great to ask
.
First the light:
what type of corals are you willing to buy? theres sps, lps, zoas and softies. if you just want lps, zoas, and softies you can have pc lights. which are power compact. many people will say get t5 but if you wanna save money for the 29g get some pc. with pc im sure you cant keep anemone tho. if you are gonna buy one then get t5. but that wont be till later like an year to make sure the water params are good!
emerald crab and coral:
yes emerald can be be with corals. i have one in my 95. and so far nothing bad has happned. so get one but very tiny.
now the clown with anemone:
clowns can be without the anemone. many people dont even have them and the clowns host or make home other corals. here are some pics:

So I did it. I went out and spent the money...and went to a local shop that seems to know what they are doing...(it's where my ex's grandpa goes for all of his stuff)
This is what I got:
10 gallon tank w/hood...I upgraded from the fluorescent bulb that was in it to a Coralife 50/50 18" 15watt.
I am just running the Aqueon Power Filter 10gal. that came with it, but am going to upgrade to one made for a 30 gal. tank.....
I have a Rio+ 69gallon per hour Powerhead.
Marineland 50 Watt 10gal heater...
About 15-16 pounds of live sand, and 7 pounds of live rock.
Oh and the water is premixed to 1.025...got it from the store at $0.99 a gallon.
Is any of this useless? In other words should I bring it back for something else?
Oh and, should I mod. the filter....take out the cartridge and put in LR rubble and chaeto??
Anyways...here are some nice cloudy pictures :D

Here you can see my powerhead:

And here you see my heater:
