Questions on wet/dry filters

I recently purchased a wet/dry filter that was rated for a 90 gal. aquarium, however I am no longer going with the 90 gal I am going to purchase a 125 gal. instead. My question is....is there anyway to make this wet/dry filter handle the 125 gal? The manufacter recommends a 10 gal. aquaium to be used as the sump, but i have a 20 gal long that i can also use for the sump. Or I have the option to buy another wet/dry filter that is recommended for a 75 gal and use both wet/dry filters for the 125 gal. I have plenty of room to store both filters under the cabnit, and the price of the new filter would be cheaper then buying a new overflow and new return pump. I just dont know if i should use two wet/dry filters one rated for a 90 gal aquarium and one rated for a 75 gal. to filter one 125 gal.????? ANY advice would be great......T.I.A:confused:

C bell are you going to do a reef tank or a fish only with live rock or just fish because if you have live rock there is no need for bioballs wich is basicly the only thing that would change wet/dry size
so basicly in easy terms if you are going to have live rock that wet/dry should work fine
also there is a big debate about bioballs and nitrate factorys most people do not use bioballs if they have rock

Yeah, right now im going for a FOWLR. I'm going to order about 150 lbs of LR when I get this thing set up, but its not going to be a full blown reef. Like my 46 gal bow its going to have plenty of LR a 4-5" dsb and its going to be FO with the exception of a few mushroom rocks.

with 150lbs of rock and a dsb your all set dont worry about wet/dry size I would spend the extra doe and a good skimmer

thanks, as for the skimmer I was thinking about going with a berlin turbo but I have also considered a Turboflotor. How is that berlin working out for you?

The Wet/Dry will keep youir water clear - that's all you need it to do since you have the Live Rock.
Get a decent skimmer and clean the cup every two days. Clean your filter maybe once every two months and your good.
You don't need to upgrade your filter.
