Questions regardling about skimmer?

Hi everyone!
So i currently have a biocube 29 oceanic with a aqualife skimmer 115 in chamber 1. I was wonder what levle should i have the bubbles to get a good skimming? It's at the neck of the cup? or near the tip of the cone? If anyone can help me that would be great! Also I planning to add 1 more 425 GPH koralia circulation pump, so I would have two 425 gph pump excluding the return pump in the back, would that be over kill or just perfect?
Thanks again!

If you set the bubbles low, you will get a dry skimmate which will take longer to fill the cup. If you set your skimmate too high, you get wet skimmate. It's best to try to get it somewhere in the happy middle - wherever that may be. You might have to experiment with your skimmer for a few weeks to get it right. I made sure my skimmers filled the cup a minimum of at least once a week. Whether it was dry or wet - I liked to make sure it made a cup a week.
It doesn't matter how much water flow you have if it doesn't have a purpose. Flow should be directed in areas that have dead spots, as well as around corals to carry away waste and bring them food. If you can accomplish this, then you are good with however many powerheads it takes.

Thank you snake! You always replying to me fast! XD I will adjust my skimmer to medium level and will keep in mind about the pumps. Ya I mainly got the 2nd pump because to me the top isn't having enough movement to my liking that a sw tank should have. Anyways Thank you very much!

Hah, it's just coincidence that I am able to reply so quickly. 90% of my day is spent behind a school desk, table, or school computer. You just catch me at the right times.
