Questions- Temperatures and Rebuilding after Problems

Hello All-
I have been reading your boards for weeks and looking to them for advice and just want to tell you guys that your tanks are amazing and I look forward to mine hopefully reaching that point someday.
Right now, we are in the process of rebuilding. During a trip to Italy for 3 weeks that we made early summer, my housesitter (who was well-trained in advance) had problems with our tank and we lost two fish (flame angel and copperband butterfly) as well as all of our corals...soooo sad.
The tank was a mess so we did a major cleaning and we are now in the process of restocking it. So far, slowly, we have done the following:
Had: one green anemone, LMB, and percula clown for fish and a flame scallop, emerald crab, hermit crabs, and snails
Added: yellow tang, copperband butterfly, and royal gramma for fish and another emerald crab, decorator crab, more snails, coral banded shrimp, 2 camel shrimps, 2 more anemones, duster cluster, and one small polyp coral (very teeny).
Tank seems to be okay, except that the tang is currently chasing the copperband around- just added him an hour ago. I put a dark blanket over the tank so they would have no light and fed them well- hope it is okay. Has anyone heard of tangs being territorial or mean to copperbands?
Also, temp is a concern for us. We live in the hot desert and our filters are in the garage (the wall backs up against the tank). Temps have been averaging 84-85. Is that okay? We put a fan (clip on) facing into the sump tank to help and it has a little. The evaporation cools the tank and also the RO water that is coming in (triggered by the float switch) is cold as well. Anyone else done anything like this or built their own chiller? We have a fridge in the garage 5 feet away from the pumps and we are thinking of trying one of those DIY chillers.
I am relatively new to this- after over 10 years of fresh water tanks, the salt tank has been up and running for close to a year. Do you think that this tank is okay? I hope I have not overstocked- we do have every gizmo and gadget known to the tank world on this thing. Big sump tank, canister filters, powerheads, protein skimmer- any advice will be happily accepted regarding the stock or especially the temp!
Thanks guys!
Lisa

Keep the fan running and the DIY chillers don't work well. Do a search people tried it.
84,85 is not too bad, but don't let it go higher.
All tangs are territorial, but it also depends on the tangs personality. Maybe you got one that doesn't like to share.
Your other thread suggested to mix up the rocks, I agree. It will be all new to them and they will search for new spots to control.
