What if my water qaulity is better than my LFS..... With shrimp specifically... There SG is at 1.026 mine is at 1.024. There Nitrates are through the roof, mine are somewhat reasonable. Mine are 20 and theres are like 120 ..... My question is would acclimation even be worth it? The only thing im really worried about is the SG but if im putting mine in im still adding to the salinity. Should i drip some RO water with no salt :help: till it gets to what mine is or just use mine? Ive never come across this problem before

The drip method, works best to make it the same.

Two hour or more drip method works the best IMO. I just got a Coral Banded Shripm today and did a two hour drip. They say it help to not stress the fish or inverts bad.

I saw a Dog Face Puffer about 4 inches in a 20 gallon at the LFS store today. So that does not surprise me that your water is better

I would say most of the time our water is better than LFS. Do you have a reef tank or FO. If you have a reef tank Your sg. should be 1.026-1.027

PH shock is a big deal with inverts....it will cause them to freeze up. You need make sure and still acclimate them nice and slow.
