Has anyone had any problems with Quick-crete playsand? I plan on mixing 10#ls 10# CC and 20# PLaysand together. I want to make sure this is totally safe before i go just dumpin stuff in my tank.
Would i be able to add the LS to the mixture later?

It is not the tank he made me. I have an acrylic 125 which I am selling the entire package. It is less than 1/2 what I paid for it and I just replaced all of the lights.
I got a great deal on a 165, so I am upgrading. Next year, I will sell the tank he made. We are going to put in a room devider.

good to know that your upgrading. I just built a room devider between my livingroom and office. It's a double sided 220 g. As you can imagine it's costing a small fortune to fill it. I will keep my ears open for a takers on the 125g. If you need good home for anything let me know. My wife, son and I are caring pet owners. heehee.......

Oh ya the new tank is going between the living and dining room since I cannot get him talked into a wall we are going to put the tank there and he will have a new stand to build, I am thinking maybe a 350. Then I will have to find a home for the others.

we love danes...... we were looking at a harliquin (sp) but decided to get the ranch first. My neighbors have two, they keep knocking the planks out of the fence and getting loose. The dogs have been to jail twice and the owners are on "doggy" probation. Countless fines $$$. One more offense and they will seize the dogs.
You could always have it worse................

We have two a black and white and a black. Gracie is the baby and she is about 150lbs. She likes to eat only my shoes and she will lick the glass of the tank. They are fun to take to the petstore. Ours like to stay in their beds and would rather not be outside.

I used Quick-crete Kiddie Playsand in my tank. I used about 150lbs of it. Never had any trouble.
Click on my "www" button below, it will show you pics of my tank with the Qucik-crete sand. I topped the 150lbs with 25lbs of LS.
Why are you mixing CC in with your sand? I have read that the CC will eventually raise to the top. IMO I would not put any CC in with the sand.
Good luck :)

The quick crete works fine for me. I get all of my fish stuff at either *****, or Keller farms tropical fish.

Please take everything Keller Farms says with a grain of salt. Several people I know have gotten realy bad advice from them.
