Quick easy tip for water changes..

I am definitly no expert and have not been keeping a tank for too long but have found a way to help adding the new water from a water change back into the tank.
Simplly use a strainer that you would use for noodles etc. Place it on the top of the tank and simply pour the water through the strainer. It works great and is never hard enough to stir up the sand at all. Fish dont seem to mind it at all either.

make sure and rinse your strainter afterwards or you will have a "rust bucket"

I would only use a plastic strainer.

Yeah I use the plastic variety and have had good luck, I still rinse it thought
