Quick Hawkfish Question

I have a longnose hawkfish that looks like he's tried to eat one of my sally lightfoot crabs legs. It like the leg is somehow stuck in his mouth. How can I get this out? He appears to be breathing heavy now, is he going to die? I tried feeding and he won't eat with this stuck in his mouth.

I have never had this problem with my hawkfish. I have no idea if this would be the right thing to do but maybe try to catch it. Put it in a clean tupperware thing...so it doesn't have a lot of room to get away from you. take some tweezers n try to get the leg out of it's mouth. That would be what I would do. Obviously I have no idea how easy this task will be. I know it'd be about impossible for me bc of the size of my tank and the amount of rockwork I have...but hopefully this'll help a little.

I guess it wasn't stuck after all. I think he may have been saving it because he ended up eating it. Are these known to eat crabs?

Research Hawk fish and you will find they love to eat shimps and crabs, that is what they do.
