Quick! Help before I loose them

And what is this??? It wasn't here before! lol, Worm? Hard type looking thing. I haven't touched either of these yet! Don't want to disturb them yet!

I'll try, I can only see three legs or whatever they are, they do have brown lines going around them

If this helps, I have mini brittles with brown striped legs so this could be a possibility. Those would definitely be beneficial as well. Need a clearer pic to confirm.

I was just about to post the same question. I have seen "it"/"them" in several places in the tank. I have seen as many as 4 or 5 (legs?) they are white and brown striped - WBWBWBWBWBWBWB- my first thought was a brittle star but I do not have any others tank is 7 weeks open have bought several LR pieces. It has not shown its body but legs have come out of rock with lights on atleast 3 inches. I love this hobby

Anyone know the growth rate, so that we can look forward for confirmation. Any special needs to help keep alive?

Yeah, I just got home and checked with the flash light, there is 4 leg things now! HMMM!

Well its been a few days! I found another sighting of the very same legs in another hole on a different rock! I have played around at night and tried to get a better look. BUT. The arms extend out during the night (both of them) and when the light hits them they retreat somewhat. So its alive. But neither of them have come out of the holes yet

It definitely sounds like mini brittles to me. They're beneficial and they only get to an inch in diameter. All I ever see of mine are the legs. They multiply pretty quickly. No special requirements as they eat the food that they catch with their arms and the little bits that make it to the rock. Very good to have. I love mine.
