QUICK HELP please.....

I just did THE BIG SWITCH from CC to sand. I can now only see the outline of my rocks in the "milky" water.....
When is it safe to add the fish back? I just don't want to keep them "cooped up" too long.....

Did you put live rock back in? If so, in a couple of days bacteria should cling to the dust particles and settle them down. If not you may have to kick it off with a raw shrimp and basically recycle your tank.

A couple days or until you can see in the tank more. If you have a fine filter that would speed it up.
BTW, IMO, you DON'T want to re-cycle.

Place a micron bag in the filtering cycle and it should clear up in an hour or so. Thats if you can put one in the cycle of course.

I don't have a micron bag.... just an emperor 400 and a cpr bak pak.... any other ideas?

Roni I did the same thing you just did and I used my Emporer 400 to clear it up. DO NOT start another cycle you don't need it. Your fish will be fine for a 24 to 48 hours. IME

Thanks so much! It is clearing up some now but I am not really sure when it's "clear enough" to put the fish back in.....
Also, I kept all the "old water" and LR....
