Quick MH bulb replacement question

So I have a 24g NC with the 150w HQI upgrade canopy. Well it is time to replace the bulb. I have heard great things about the coralife 14k bulbs so I went ahead and bought one but I wanted to ask and make sure. I can put a different brand bulb onto the ballast right instead of the jbj brand one? It won't like pop anything or mess up my system will it? Thanks for the help if you have any!

Should be fine. I would have gone pheonix myself. I love them.
