quick ? on DIY food

Can you mix in pre-cooked shrimp with a veggie mix or should you always use uncooked. I know, I know, fish never get cooked shrimp in their nat. habitats, but I was wondering is there some reason why you wouldn't want to use cooked shrimp (unhealthy, adverse impacts, introduction of bacteria/other organisms). My wife brought the wrong kind home from the store and it's a bit of a drive.
If someone is aware of a prev. thread, please post it.

I would not use cooked food. I'm sure it removes certian things that are good for the fish.
