When you want to acclimate your fish, do you need to acclimate them like SWF does
it on the demo or let the bag float on top of the water like you read in some books and use a cupful of water from your aquarium?

I've always floated fish for acclimation and added about a half cup of tank water every half hour. I've never had problems doing it this way.

I float the bags and then put the fish and bagged water in a bucket . Then drip water from the tank they are going into . I normally drip for an hour to an hour and a half . Never had any problems acclimating this way .
There are many different ways of getting the fish acclimated . As long as you take your time just about any method will work .

I temperature acclimate by floating the bag, and then I use the drip method for about an hour.
