Quick Question

So i've been hearing that the "proper" way to feed coral is to shut off all the pumps and protein skimmer, and add the Phytoplankton to the tank with no movement. Is this true? If so how long do you leave the main pump off, and would it be better to leave the power heads on so it can circulate the phytoplankton?

most people do do that. shut it off for 15-20 minutes.

I shut down my return pumps so the tank no longer drains into my sump and skimmer. I leave my powerheads on and add the phyto using a turkey baster near each coral. I leave it that way for about an hour.
