Quick question

i just started a picotope. 3 gal. It has new water, new live sand, but all mature covered in coraline rock. Just curious how how quickly it might cycle. I know normally its 4 to8 wks. Thought it might go quicker with the rock.

It probably will. Honestly, you just have to test and see.

i always wanted to try one of those but was always scared that I will kill off everything because of parameters changing so much.

If you have alot of rock you might not get a spike/cycle at all and it will slowly seed your sand too.
