quick vho endcap question

Does anyone know the actual dimensions of a vho bulb, and the endcaps... i have a 25 tall, and i've only got 24.5" in the hood for lights...
Any info on endcap, and or total dimensions of vho bulbs and endcaps would be appreciated.

The lamps are the same dimensions as regular fluorescents. They are the same diameter as regular "T-12" lamps. Make sure you get decent endcaps, as they burn hotter than standard Flo's. Endcaps are not very expensive. You can get a pair for about $12. Those are the nice German ones that include mounting brackets.

my main concern is though.. is it going to fit inside my hood without me having to modify it.. with endcaps, is a 24" lamp going to be more than 24.5"?
