had an out break of hair alge and finally got my phos down to 0.. i took all my rock out but one peice and scrubed it down and got all of it off...there is one peice that is like a 25-30 lb peice of rock.. with phos at 0 if i scrub it in the tank will that spred it all over again or is it ok

If you have good lighting, meaning newer bulbs and dont have your lights on to much, good water flow, not over feeding, not over stocking, and using RO or RO/DI water you wont have a problem.

Do you have any type of a cleanup crew? no matter what, 'some' algae will grow, its inevitable. A few snails or crabs or a tang, etc and whats left should be managable as long as waterquality is consistantly good.
