quickrete play sand

I have posted this message plenty of times before but still come across the same questions about it. I work at a sand and gravel mine that sells our masonry sand to quickrete they in turn bag it and sell it to various home improvement centers. The sand has various particle sizes from very fine to course, If you are worried about it being to fine look for washed concrete sand it is alittle bit courser and doesnt have as much really fine material.....My concern though is we use lots of different chemicals mainly in the water that washes the sand everything from weed killers to polymers, the sand is then dried at quickrete they run it through a dryer, and even though I am sure that everyone washes this sand before it goes into their thanks i am still concerned that all of the chemical can not be washed out. This sand is also not reef sand it is silica sand. I just feel everytime i see a post about this sand i must post a warning.
Good luck

Wrong!
You guys need to do searches on the net instead of "what you've always heard".
Re: Quikcrete sand....Hooray for cheaper alternatives that work fine! (According to Moe and Shimek....ever heard of them?!)
Read this if you dare!
O3 has a 110g tank that has been setup for several months that he stated has the Quikcrete sand in it too. Let me know what you think....if you have other PROOF, let's hear it.

Out of pure concern I will add somemore obout quickrete sand, but i am afraid you will now have to put up with my misspelling...Last year we sprayed the cattails in our water holding tank with a derivitive of paraquat(the same chemical they sprayed the marijuana crops in Mexico with. On the bottle lables there were warnings about not getting it into water with livestock, fish,.. A few years back we made some sand with some material that was contamintated with diesel fuel, and because this is an oil based product i dont think water can wash it off. All that i am asking is to becareful I can get all the sand I want for free but I dont think I would take the chance. Also where do you find verification that Southdown sand is ok? I know that we sell them sand also but i am confused about maybe some of there bagging places are ok.
Thanks
