I sold my prizm. I dont want to hear it anymore. What skimmers should I be looking at under $200 that dont require any extra "hookup stuff" and are quiet?

Any type of hang-on will do a good job for you and will be quieter, but I have yet to find one that is "whisper quiet".
The Remora Pro is an excellent skimmer, and so is the CPR BakPak2. Red Sea makes some very nice equipment as well, and if you shop around, you can easily find them for under $200.

Berlin also has a another type of hang on protein skimmer besides the Prizm. i think it is called the berlin Classic Hang on. I hope this helps

if you go with a berlin skimmer, get the new turbo model.its much better then the classic, and its only about 30 bucks more. i have one in the sump of my 40g breeder tank. its so quiet you can barely tell its on!
