I'm sad to report after Beth & Terry recommended the Maracyn-2 & hypo for treatment for my Flame Angel, that she still passed. It all seems so strange, the Angel ate the day before, was swimming great, all the levels in the QT had just leveled out to perfect readings (tank spiked a bit when Angel was added & treatment began) & hypo was in place. The only thing that had change was 5 days earlier I had to add a bullied Firefish, who stayed out of sight, had nothing but some superfical fin damage & possible an injured lung. The Angel had completed a full week of Maracyn-2 2 days before the Firefish was added & was 2 weeks into hypo.
I feel horrible!!! I did everything in the world & the Angel seemed to be responded beautifully. Whatever she may have had was never passed on to any of the other fish in the main tank. I got her with only a False Perc in the main & was added the Angel in with 3 Firefish, so I added all together. I get the impression the Angels are difficult to care for??? Is it because they need sponge in their diets??? So no matter what they eat, if they don't have sponge they won't make it??? I was told this by another member.
