R/O Water

I just invested in a fairly expensive R/O unit and I guess it never occured to me how just how little the good water output is. I have a 240 gallon and it seems like it will take 2 weeks to fill! Do I have have to use R/O water everytime I top off the tank? I imagine I can make water between water changes but what can I store it in that won't contaminate the water and is portable?

I really don't think that you need to use R/O water to top off the tank.....I have always used tap water to top off, and I have never had any problems. I'm sure problems would have showed since my tank is sooo much smaller than the one you are filling.

Thanks for your help. That would make it easier. Can any new plastic container work for stored salt water? Like an unused gas can for example?
