R they stressed or deseased?

Hi i had my eye on a hippo tang at my lfs and i noticed that around the chest area it had a loss of color it was faded white. Not like ich but a total faded ness like someone put some bleach on him or somethiung. Is this just the stress of transport(cus they were new) or is this the work of a disease?

I also have the same problem...I have a Yellow Eye Tang that has the bleached look. I think it is due to stress. I have been watching the fish for the past few days and it is not eating like it should. Anyone have any suggestions?

Its a combination of several things. Stress, age, lack of proper diet. Usually tang coloration can be attributed greatly to lack of proper diet which in turn stresses them out. Older regals tend to loose their brilliance as they get older. As do quite a few tangs. So that may be the case as well, with a combo of lack of diet i'm sure he's not getting in the store....

Are you giving him enough veggies? If they don't get enough greens they can possibly fade in color some.
