Does anyone have pet rabbits. How are they as pets. Do you keep them inside or outside. Are they litter box trained? Do the cages smell?

I have two guiniea pigs, they are not that bad. I am looking into finding the smallest and friendliest rabbit out there.

My cousin had a bunny when we were kids and it lived in the house. It had a cage, but it was out a lot. I do remember them sweeping up "pellets" though so I'm not sure about house training.
My daughter's school has a pet guineia pig. It is the coolest thing. I've never heard one before, but it makes a cool sound.

Until it does it non-stop at 3:00. When I was younger, my Mother always had those things. They were cool at first but lost thier luster pretty quick.

ive had 3 rabbits in my life. They are great they make good pets. And about house training, they are realy good. They can even be littred trained just like a cat.they are very clean animals. They pick a place to do their buisness and thats where they go so make sure you start training soon.i say thumbs up for a rabbit.Guine pig,ive never had one.

we have a bunny in a hutch outside. we just scoop up the mess with a shovel from the ground under the cage about once aweek..and dispose of it in the compost heap.. She doesnt smell or anything. We do bring her inside if the temps are calling for severe dangerous below freezing or freezing rain..dangerous weather in the wintertime.. I have a nice cage with a tray..but she always manages to pee outta the thing..and Im here to tell ya that inthe house, with or without some kind of pine litter.., Mature rabbit pee stinks!! It really does. But the pine litter or cat litter will help absorb sum of the stench!! I do love this rabbit..otherwize Id leave her butt outside in the nasssy weather!! But shes kinda spoiled.
She is a lop ear..really sweet. she loves the honeysuckle that grows on the fence in our backyard, so the kids are always pulling sum and giving it too her... she loves it!
I would say yes to a rabbit.
