Finally got the fish I've been waiting to get since I started reading about saltwater tanks. Hes in qt right now, everything seems to be fine in the tank other than the trates being at 20. Hes breathing pretty fast and is darting around the tank, hes beein doing this for a day now. I read that they need highly oxygenated water, should I put an airstone in the filter?

no air stones, just keep the tank kinda dim but not dark and give it time to get used to the tank and water conditions, I too just got a raccoon today from the big site, have to say he's one of the best looking fish I have ever seen and is already eating like a pig and acting great.( in QT of coarse )

have a variety of food around and keep trying different foods till u fine something it will eat. once it starts eating then worry about wat its eating and get its diet on track before you put it in compitition with your other fish

I couldnt get him to eat anything esle today so I put a snail in there with him. He has been knocking the crap out of it. I think he may be trying to eat it... not sure. Any thoughts? He has been nipping at fake coral in the tank as well.

try some live brine shrimp, or copeods , they will eat coral and sponges as well as some small crustations,

May try to get it some clams, and then keep the shells and feed it in them if it eats the clams.
