I believe this is the network I just saw the ad on. I couldnt remember the time, but they were talking about "the race to stop the lionfish." After reading the thread in the Responsible Aquarist forum, Im assuming theyre talking about the Bahamas ones. Everyone tune in!!

Chris hansen: Well Mr. Lionfish did you not know this fish is off the menu for you.
Lionfish: It said it was a silverside. Can I go now? (lionfish gets up to leave.)
Hansen: Im afraid not, how about you sit back down. I want to know just what are you doing here in the carribean? Thats a long way to travel.
Lionfish: I dont know. I was hungry I guess.

i think its cool. i wish they lived up here in this muddy dump hole they call "Long Island Sound". i cant belive people swim in this stuff. you cant see the and in 6 inches of water. every coastal town thru CT and long island just dump their waste here. i hate it! why cant i live in Florida???

The problem is that the reason the lion fish are being found in the carribean all the way up to the carolinas, the gulf of mexico and other places they are native to is because people are dumping them in the ocean out of there tanks. It not like they migrated to these locations.

I'm going to move this discussion over to the Responsible Aquarist Forum.
Its a good topic, and the idea for the new forum is a good one as well.
