i recently bought a racoon butterfly and am having trouble getting him to eat. i feed him red algae which he picks at and he'll also pick at my rock but thats it. i tried to give him mysis but he nipped at it and wasn't quite interested. my other fish eat and their bellies are huge, he's not skinny by any means but it doesnt look like he eats much. what is their preferred diet and what else can i try to give him that he might be more interested in ingulfing?

Give it a variety of meaty foods. Chopped clam, mussel, scallop, squid, ( all available in frozen form from a good lfs, or go to a market and buy fresh).
Frozen plankton. Stuff like Marine Cuisine, Emerald Entree. You can often get bf's to eat by placing a whole clam in the tank. Go to a market and pick up a couple of steamer clams. Crack them open a bit and drop them in. Most will go after it. These are pretty good eaters. Once settled in, it should be fine.
