I have been reading good things about the Radium 20k HQI bulbs. Whiter than most other 20k's with a higher PAR. Anyone using this bulb and have any comments on it?

Okay everyone. It has been 108 hours of burn in time on this 20k Radium bulb.
Here is the picture the day it was installed.

And here after 108 hours of "burn in" time.

wow what a difference. At first I was going to say the phoenix was much better, but now after burn in the radium looks very nice. very near to the color of the phoenix. i wonder which of those two have more par.
what wattage are you using?

Everything I have read says the 20K Radium has a higher PAR than the Phoenix 14k. They are 150 watt DE HQI

Well Spanko, I just ordered my 2x150w phoenix 14ks. Just wasnt sure if I was ready to jump from 10k Aqualine AB to 20k. But if Im not happy with Phoenix, I will try the radium. Also, in a year I may try the radium regardless
I know the burn in will take some time, but I will start a new thread about my experience with them on my 65g.

Good stuff Gator. I think you will be very happy with the Phoenix 14k's. They are a very eye pleasing bulb.
I am now enjoying the look of the Radium 20k also.

The tank looks great, new aquascaping too.

Would you mind posting larger shots with phoenix vs radium (full burn in)?
Thanks a lot for your info. I dont think I would have even tried the phoenix without reading your posts. id love it if you could find that article about par of phoenix vs. radium....
