raising alk without raising ph

marine lab is the test kit, red sea
lfs says its ok
test taken at noon yesterday, will take another at noon today
alk is a littel low
calcium is 400
tank is a year old
added aragamilk and purple up after test
water change on monday
another question, how do you raise alk without raising ph? everything i have read in the stores says it raises both.
50 lbs of lr 40 lbs ls
ph 8.6
no trites, or trates, or amonnia, or phosphate

Alk, Ph affect each other but are not the same thing. Calcium, Alk, Ph all affect each other.
tntlover; You stated your alk is a little low but didn't say what is was. Whats' the dKH and meq/L currently?
