rare red anemone

today at my LFS I say a red anemmone that one of the guys working in the store said that it needed to be in cold water. The color red was incredible!!!!! Dark red.

Is it a rose anemone? Does it have a bubble tip form?
I have seen that and I have seen condylactis that are pink. Not red, but pink.

I don't know about lfs and anemones, but in the wild, I've only seen two red anemones and I've made over 1500 dives. One was in warm water on a wreck in Truk Lagoon and the other was in cooler water in the Red Sea, so in my opinion,if it was a true red anemone it would probably be a rare find. :D

i went there a few years ago and swam with some friggin huge sturgeon
it was my first dive outside the ymca pool
where you from anyhow?

Hi Paul,
Yes, I use to teach classes at France Park, but haven't dove there for a while as I use a different quarry.
I'm originally from Florida, but live in central Indiana now.
