pretty fast! I rememeber when i had my lion(man i miss that fish
) i got him when he was just a lil baby,very small, and in like 4 months he gre to about 7in!!! I think he was about 2-3in when i got him :notsure: . Lions are cool and i will be getting another one too!

I have a red volitan lion in a 55 gallon with a spiny box puffer. When I got him he was about 3" from head to tail. This was a year ago, now hes so big his wings touch both sides of the tank when he puts them out. Hes a great fish, eats right out of my hand. He even knows when im by the tank, comes down from his hidding place and comes right up to the glass any time im around. The only down fault is a huge load on the system, nitrates are always 50++ and thats if i do 10-20% weekly waterchanges!

I forgot, I dontknow what your feedig him, but try to get him to eat silversides, there a bit messy, but feeding every other day is alot easier. I found if I feed mine 3-5 full sized silversides every 2 days hes as happy as can be. Just hangs out enjoying life! At onetime I feed him krill, he was always hungry, even after I feed him daily, and his stomach was always blown up!
