Ratio of LRs in a sump??

Hey everyone...
As i said b4, planning to build a 114g tank. Then will soon make a sump filter sutable for the tank's specs. I did a little search and found out that the ratio of LRs for the sump will be 1.5 to 1.75lbs/gallon!!
Does that really mean that i should get 171lbs of LRs?? :scared:
(thats like 17lbs more than what I weigh!!)
PLEASE tell me that its not true :help: dont think i have the space for a huge sump nor the strenth of my neighbor's sealing to carry all this!!(building was built in 1920-something)
Thanx for reading.

You could put most of that rock in the main tank. Not all of it needs to go in the sump.
Where are you getting your ratio numbers from???
As for weight, the extra 170+ pounds will really not be much compared to the 1500 or so your tank, stand, water and equipment will weigh.
