Re-acclimating Fish after Hypo

My fish are about to come out of hypo. They all seem to have done rather well, my flame angel was listing pretty heavily the first few days, but then he got the new salinity figured out. My question is how careful do I need to be when adding them back to the display tank? The bioload used to be well balanced, but did the amount of bacteria decrease during the lack of fish? Will suddenly adding all of them cause a cycle? What I think I will do is give them about a week to return from 1.009 to normal, and then give them a couple of days at that salinity to make sure all is well. Then I was going to add the three smaller fish to the display, and monitor the tests, and maybe in 5 days or so (if all is well) add the remaining two fish. Is that too quick? Thanks for the advice

One week is good. Raise it slowly by doing water changes. You want to bring it up by no more than .02 per day. Make your water up at a slightly higher SG than you want it to be. It will be mixing with lower SG water. For example, if you want the SG to go to 1.012 then mix it at 1.015. You will figure out the patern quickly as you did with dropping it. It is not good to mix the water at 1.025 and drop it into the tank. Make it gradual and less stressful.

thanks for the .02 per day advice, I didn't really know what to shoot for... I can't wait to get them back into the DT. I don't know who the hospital is more stressful on, them or me...
