what happens with boredom and too much time on your hands. I believe not one branching SPS made it without a tip or two accidently being broke off
. I thought I'd go for that open center look I've seen some people do but now I need more sand corals (cools ones not like the ones I have)

What a GORGEOUS tank. What size is the tank? How long have you been at it? And how much time do you spend on it? It is absolutely beautiful!

wow thanks (you like it better than I do lol. I just cant get the aquascaping the way I want it no matter what). its a 100 gallon. this tank has been up for 6 months but I've been at it off and on since the mid 90s. about 3yrs this go round and only about 2yrs of actually knowing anything (yes a whole 8yrs and nothing learned). I dont spend as much as others. There's some base rock, cheap powerheads, playsand, homemade stand/canopy ect to keep cost down. some of the coral frags were from trading. I dont have the best equipment money can buy or any fancy stuff. the tank was used. It cost me under $1000 to get to this point (too small lights, a few corals, one fish and 35lb of liverock transfered from a 30g):

build up thread
I've since added better lighting, 25lbs of liverock, UV sterilizer, some more powerheads and alot of livestock but I dont think I'm over $2000 or much over it. but I'm still no where near finished and its still costing.
