As we were talking about my foxface and the thin membran,
The fish is probably sloughing off ecess mucus. It can be overproducing mucus if it has parasites such as gill flukes or there is something irritating in the water like ammonia or low PH. Don't ignore it. Make a LARGE water change with well aged and aerated saltwater

Is this membrane contagious and will it harm others?

He is in a QT with a PJ cardinal but he seems fine. I did do a water change and he seems much prettier than he has. His colors are bright and I dont see any other signs with him (mucus membrane or ick) and he is eating like a pig. Ill keep an eye on him for a few more days. Just wanted to know if it would eccect others. At this time I dont think it has. Thanks for the knowledgeble help :)
