Rykna,
What kind of seahorse do you have there in your pic? I have had saltwater tanks for a while now and this past weekend my wife bought a 24 gal nano. It is all set up and established and looking good. Time to buy her seahorses now. I am looking for some of the smaller kinds like yours.

That is Titan, a male Dwarf Seahorse(Hippocampus zosterae) or ponies as I call them.
They need live baby brine shrimp for food, so you have to set up a hatchery. the 24 gallon would actually be too big for them. The main problem is dinner time. It's hard enough to snick bbs in a ten gallon...almost impossible to get a full stomach in a 24. A horse pair needs at least a 29 gallon from what I've read. But with your exp. I'd think you'd be able to pull it off.

I'd suggest at least a 29 for

It's a Dwarf Seahorse. (Hippocampus zosterae)and happens to be one of the smallest of all seahorse species, measuring at adulthood from 1 1/2 – 2 inches long. When kept in a healthy environment, dwarf seahorses will reproduce prolifically. Their smaller broods make them easier candidates for successful breeding. One, however must be prepared to understand that there is no "easy" keepers as far as seahorses and dwarf seahorses must receive daily feedings of live artemia, hatched from your home from decapped brine cysts.

Ponies come in several different colors; pink is one of them.

Waiting for babies to be born is like waiting for water to boil. They will come when they are ready.
